X Appoints Former Executive Mahmoud Reza Banki as New CFO
Social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, has appointed former executive Mahmoud Reza Banki as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a critical hire as Musk shifts focus from business operations toward political involvement, according to Reuters.
Banki’s LinkedIn profile shows he joined X in November. Previously, he served as CFO of streaming platform Tubi from 2017 to 2023.
X and Banki have yet to respond to Reuters' requests for comment. The platform faces competition from major rivals like Meta in attracting advertisers, and Banki’s expertise may help X strengthen its focus on video content.
